I have had the pleasure of hunting with Joe at Cape Town Hunting Safaris several times, and have the greatest confidence in him.
Also have recommend and sent friends of mine there, and they as well have love it and want to go back again.
I have hunted several species of big game near Cape Town with him as well as birds and his dog is just a hoot to watch retrieve them.
Now remember Joe is the hunter, but his wife Nicole is the real winner as she cooks the greatest food you will find. It is worth the trip alone.
Experience Reloading Editor and Advice for Dallas Safari Club Magazine. Official African Hunting Advisory for Dallas Safari Club shows. There is a very few species that I have not hunted in African, I have hunted into Africa for 24 years and still doing it with my wife. Before you book your hunt talk to me first-free advice and information.
It is always a wonderful experience to be hunting with Joe and his lovely wife Nicole. If I was asked about a description of a perfect day, I would answer:
Get started with a successful hunt on African game and get finished with a nice glass of good South African red wine and an "Espetata", prepared by Joe".
To Joe and Nicole
A salute to you for arranging a fantastic trip for us. You are truly outstanding touring and hunting guides. It was one of the best
trips we have ever taken, you two are the nicest couple!
Meeting Joe and Nicole da Silva, owners of "Cape Town Hunting Safaris and Tours" enriched my love of Africa greatly. My late husband, Bill, and I enjoyed over 20 safaris together and we felt so fortunate to have many successful hunts with Joe and Nicole; countless fun hours, whether with sundowners, toasting our happy day in the bush, eating extraordinary langoustines peri-peri or planning our next hunt with them. Most gracious hosts in every area and the best tour-guides! But using Joe's PINK hunting rifle for taking lots of game had to be the highlight. Yes, PINK. I have photos... no denying that, Joe!
What a joy to be with you and Nicole, always, and I'm looking forward to my next safari with you. See you at the Dallas Safari Convention.
I am not afraid to say that Professional Hunter Joe Da Silva is the prototype for how a PH ought to be; he has what is needed, knowing the fauna and flora well, in particular all about the wildlife, hunting, calibres, running a good camp, good cognac and cigars... And he is a good entertainer. He knows the history of how a big game safari should be completed. I have hunted and been touring with him several times in South Africa and Zimbabwe. And I am hoping to do it for many more times.
Hans Jacobe Dehlie of Norway is a member of SCI and Dallas Safari Club; he's been on 25 safaris in six different African countries over the last 25 years and has hunted the big 5.

I have spent a lifetime in the African safari industry during which I was privileged to manage and promote on an international scale SAFRIQUE of Mozambique, the largest safari company in Africa at the time. I also guided many of the most prominent members of the international hunting community, learned to become a better judge of character, and forged solid, enduring friendships.
Joe and Nicole da Silva of Cape Town Hunting Safaris and Tours are close friends of mine and enjoy my complete trust as professional hunters and expert tourism guides. Their strong sense of ethics, translucent integrity in all their dealings and their outstanding multiplicity of skills have made this couple a formidable team, able to provide even the most fastidious person with a remarkable African safari experience. I recommend the Da Silva's without reservation.

Joe and Nicole da Silva of Cape Town Hunting Safaris and Tours embody the essence of the hunter/conservationist ethic and have developed a redoubtable reputation in the international hunting community as professional hunters. The Da Silva's have irreproachable business ethics, enjoy a high level of competency in the field, are highly skilled with firearms, deeply knowledgeable about all the regions where they hunt and they offer a superlative taxidermy service and post-hunt tourism experience.
My husband Adelino SERRAS PIRES and I have implicit trust in the Da Silva's and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to the world.
