With 1088 cubic metres of water tumbling every second down 108 metres of rock, it is no wonder that this marvellous waterfall is called: "Mosi-oa-Tunya" or "The Smoke that Thunders." Victoria Falls is one of the world's great waterfalls, located in southers Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. With its combined width of 1708 metres, this is the world's largest sheet of falling water. Twice the height of the Niagara Falls and well over twice the width of the Horseshoe Falls, this majestic wonder is well worth the trip to its home in Africa.
With its scenic vistas and abundant wildlife, this 4 day trip is a must for any nature lover or thrill seeker. With mild temperatures, virtually no rain and a low malaria risk, the dry May to October winter season is generally seen as the best time to visit Zimbabwe for game viewing, although note that September and October are extremely hot and dry months.
